Melting

In each of our two electric arc furnaces more than 100 tonnes of scrap can be melted in less than one hour. For this operation each furnace consumes about as much energy as a small town of up to 300,000 inhabitants. The tapping process is supported by oxygen and methane gas burner-systems and is slag-free effected from the bottom (EBT = eccentric bottom tapping).
